Hi. I've got my puppet in a rowing boat. I've tried with the CH magnets, following okay samurai on youtube but the oars are floaty/gittery and not sticking to the hands and the hands and oars wont stick together. Is it better to try another way such as moving the oars manually in AE ? Or create a sequence in PS ? Thanks

Japanese is translated into English using translation software.

Using the "Primary/Secondary" behavior added in the beta version, it is relatively easy to row a boat.

Sample puppets are also available for download.

I am not good at English, so I am explaining in Japanese.

Thank you.

Japanese is translated into English using translation software.

(1) Independent paddle (oar) layer.
(2) Place the origin handle at the center of the rotation.
(3) Add secondary behaviors at the wrist position.
(4)Fix the paddle with the stick tool.

You could create a sequence in Adobe Animate and then use Cycle Layers to run it in CH. Just brainstorming at this point.

This video from @oksamurai also explains the leader and follower behaviors in the current beta release. I've not had a chance to try them yet, but there's an example of a sword fighter in the video (near the end) that might be what you need.  (342) Preview: Auto-swap (Adobe Character Animator) - YouTube

Hi, thank you for your help. I want to give this leader follower a go but it's not appearing in my behaviours. I'm all updated so a bit puzzled. Do you have any suggestions? Cheers!

Hi, thank you for your advice, I'm trying it in beta version. I was wondering if you know how to make the oar pivot from the rowlock?

Thank you so much for your help. At first it looked like I had all the right tags etc. I deconstructed my oars and arms and started again following your simple video. Remembering to rename the tags of leader (wrist) and follower ( tagging oar as wrist and follower). It works.
