I can no longer use or find the blade/razor tool

I use character animator frequently and I use the razor/blade tool to manually and precisely split visemes and other elements in the timeline. I went to use the application today and I am unable to activate the tool and I even went into keyboard shorcuts to check for the tool but I could not find it. I used the tool about 1-2 weeks ago and I am still running the same version of Character Animator, v 3.5, since then. Has anybody had a similar issue with this tool?

I used "Edit / Split" from the menu, or just duplicate the take and trim it. (I was wondering if you were thinking of After Effects or Premier Pro...)
