Maybe this is a little too much for character animator, i'm trying to create a lamp that will normally stay still but if an object drops on it it will start swaying.

This is the puppet, how can i fix it in a way that behaves like intended ?

We don't currently do swaying with an IK chain type of setup that great. Two things that might help:

This guy made a jumping lamp in CH: https://youtu.be/CPE5iGAFvOc

Physics Playground on https://adobe.com/go/chexamples has several interesting examples of things that move when they're interacted with or hit by another object.

Hope that helps!

Hey thank you for all your tutorials! they helped me a lot, at the end of the day i was able to get a decent result.

I was also able to create a window with a semi transparent glass and an animation that plays under it, the thing is that the software keeps struggling, somtimes is fluid even with tons of animations on and sometimes goes down to 10 fps when nothing plays.

Yeah, things like physics, head turning, transparency, etc can really add up and create performance issues. Sometimes if I'm doing a recording I'll turn off (eyeball icon or disarm) non-essential things until the very end before I export to optimize the framerate.
