It looks like your file sharing software changed names of things, causing me problems to load it. The AI file when i am trying to load it is reporting lots of missing png files too. Be aware that Character animator does not support all illustrator features, which might be part of the problem if linking multiple files together. But head and body not being under a layer might be a big part of the problem and easy to try as a first step.
Also i think you need to introduce a new layer at the root, call it "+Dude 2" and put the head and body under that to group them.
