I have seen some samples of Character Animator Puppets where you can move your head toward/away from the camera, and the character's head gets larger or smaller. The puppet I'm making currently doesn't do that. What setting do I have to manipulate if I want that to happen?

The “Face” behavior (which is on the root of all puppets by default) has a property “Head Scale Strength”. Try increasing that value.
