Hmmm Islam, sounds spooky. CH normally saves everything as you are working. Perhaps do a "Save" before closing,  that creates a new "Version". You might also look in the "History" window (Window => History) and see what is being saved. Something really spooky is that CH might be looking at an older version of your puppet file in PS or AI. I have noted a few glitches in CH you might have simply experience one of those. Be of good cheer.

Sorry to hear about issues. The zero size of chproj file is normal, but error is not.

Is there any chance you opened the same project by older Character Animator?

Can you tell us how you save and open the project when you see this error?

Thanks.

Is your project saved in a location that is synced by Dropbox/GoogleDrive etc.? Those systems can corrupt the project.
