Puppets Thumbnail in the main page

At the main page of Animator, I can see about 33 characters/puppets thumbnails, so I can see what they look like.

But there are dozens of other puppets in the "Template" folder. How can I see what they look like without having to import each and every one?

Why they are not shown with the other 33 in the main page?

Thank you,

Carlos

The ones with "Starter" in the name are unique to Starter mode and the others are shown in Pro mode. You technically can import puppets into Starter mode that aren't labeled Starter, but due to the significantly simplified timeline editing capabilities in Starter mode there will be a lot of aspects of the puppet that won't be accessible or work well.

The Starter mode puppets are based on the same core capabilities, but are tuned specifically to operate in Starter mode.

Out of curiosity, which version of Character Animator are you using? I see some template names in there that seem like they are from some of the downloadable puppets that aren't built directly into the app. The versions I have installed only have 61 items in this folder (roughly evenly split between Starter and Pro mode puppets).

If they have "Starter" in the name, you can import them to use in Starter mode, but as you note because they aren't built in puppets, they won't show up with a thumbnail in the Home workspace.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply 🙂

My version is 24.0.014

Once I'm just a hobbyist, I will stick with the starter version,

Carlos
