Replays are when a group of actions are recorded and assigned to a trigger to play when necessary. A Replay can include keyframes. Keyframes, on the other hand, are points on the timeline where the settings for an action are set, for instance, when you set the percentage of a scale action and then set it to a different amount later in the timeline and the program automatically blends from one scale setting to the other. Keyframes do not need to be (and frequently are not) triggered by a keypress, like a Replay.
