Does this happen with every character or just the fish?

Strange - yeah that shouldn't happen. Is it possible to list or take a screenshot of your system hardware (OS, processor, memory, graphics card, etc)?

Do you have an anti-virus program running? If so, try turning it off to see if that fixes the problem. If that does fix it, mark the Documents/Adobe/Character Animator folder (or wherever you store your Ch projects) as a directory to not scan.

Oh, and once this problem has happened once, you may need to Alt-click on the Refresh button (Screen Shot 2017-06-26 at 10.01.57 AM.png) at the bottom of the scene panel to clear out the bad file.

Can you zip up the entire project folder and share here (or with me directly if you want to keep it private)?
