Toolbar missing

Hi,

I have Adobe Animate Pro 2023. Is there supposed to be a toolbar as I don't have one. For example, I've read you can use text but there is no toolbar that would have the text. Thanks

Are you in starter mode? In the upper right corner of the screen you will see either starter or pro. Click on it to switch from one to the other.

All it says is Pro. Not use starter

Where is the toolbar supposed to be? How do you access it? It's nowhere.

I am afraid that I do not know what toolbar you are referring to. Could you perhaps provide a link to a page that shows what is missing I could better help.

For example, I'm trying to use text and it says it's in the toolbar. See attached

I am not sure where that page got its information, but there is no type tool in Character Animator. Perhaps the page is referring to Adobe Animate which does have a type tool and a toolbar.

Thanks yah maybe they did that. Darn I wanted to use this for a company video with a character as the narrator but we need some text at times on the screen. Don't want to do it graphically outside the program. Bummer. I guess there is no toolbar like in Illustrator either? I don't see one.

You could do the text in After Effects. You could set up your narrator in Character Animator and then export using the Dynamic Link directly into After Effects. I suppose it depends on how much text you need to do.
