Please help! I'm pretty new to Character Animator, but I've been watching lots of tutorials online. I thought I was doing pretty well, but I've run into an issue where some of my triggers for facial expressions aren't working. For example, I have two versions of the character's smile, so one is labeled Smile, which works fine, but then I have one I've called Big_Smile, which uses cycle layers, and when I try to trigger that, nothing happens. Another example is I have an expression called "Shock." I've added a trigger, and when I try to play it, again nothing happens. I've included a screenshot of my rigged puppet.

I'm not seeing which layer is the root that holds all of these expressions. It's best to remember that if you intend for one of the swap sets to replace another, they should be grouped together in layer/folder. The triggers are how you pull each one (and only one) of the swap sets out of that folder - everything else then gets hidden. It looks like you'll need specific layers/folders for not only the Smile, Big Smile and Shocked expressions, but one more for your default.

The root folder is Expressions. The default expression is the one named happy. I've got each of these expressions as separate layers, and I understand that only one expression should be playing at a time; it works fine for all the other expressions in the expressions folder, just not laugh, shock, or big smile.

But I don't see "expressions" in the rigging hierarchy. I'm trying to see how that is arranged.
