Using Mixamo 3d Characters or any 3d character in Character Animator

Has anyone tried this  successfully? Guidlines and instructions on how to utilize 3d characters in CA?

I'm not sure if they have a specific tutorial about it, but Digital Puppets makes a lot of 3D characters. You basically need to render out individual parts and composite/organize them correctly in Photoshop.
