Various hands movement

New Here ,
Jun 15, 2023 Jun 15, 2023

Hi everyone,

i am trying to edit the movement of the hands, but is there any other way to move various postures of hands?

I've tried the Trigger option, but it does not work as I intended to do.

The goal of the work is that I show sign languages as a animated videos. Are there any tipps to do? Or is this not possible with this program?

Can you post some images of what it is doing with a bit more details on how that differs from what you intended? From your description, it does sound like triggers are probably what you want, but there's a lot of other details to figure out the right approach to get what you're after.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, I attched a video that I want to achieve.

That video is made with Illustrator but I really want to make more videos using Character Animator...It is way easy to make videos with Live tracking, if the hands would play together.

Could you help me out?

Oh, shoot. Sorry, almost forgot to come back to this one!

I think if you made each of these animations a separate group (with each frame in the animation grouped below that), you should be able to make each one of them a cycle layers animation and then have all of them in a swap set in Character Animator so that when they are triggered, they'll generate one trigger track in the timeline.

Let me see if can find a good example puppet for the kind of structure/organization of swap sets like this. Tull (the blue cat) might be a good example, but there may be a better one.

This tutorial might be helpful for the concepts. The Stardust (unicorn) puppet has a bunch of cycle layers animations, but they aren't in a swapset. The cycle layers behavior has a bunch of options for different kinds of animations, so it might take some experimenting to find the right approach.
