Waiting for camera

I've tried doing a fresh install as well as restarting my computer but I keep getting waiting for camera.

Do you have the camera open in any other application? CH doesn't like to share the camera with other apps.

Are you running Windows or Mac?

Windows doesn't permit sharing of cameras between applications so make sure your camera is not already in use by another program.

If you are running Windows then you might also want to do a quick test to see if other applications can access your camera.   Try using the built-in Windows "Camera" app. (Go to the Windows Search bar and enter "Camera" and click on the app to launch it.)   If your camera shows up and works in the Windows Camera app then it should also work with Character Animator.

On Mac this is less of an issue.  MacOS does support sharing cameras between programs if the programs support it (Ch does).
