when I record animation it keeps creating extra audio tracks

Hey thanks for reading this! I am recording animation to my puppet in layers, ya know the usual eye movement, then triggers, then face turns. Anyway every time I hit record it creates a new audio track. Any idea why Adobe Character Animator is doing this and how to stop it? Thank you for any and all advice.

Window > Camera&Microphone 
Then click on the little blue microphone icon in the panel under the camera view to disable audio recording.

The microphone icon should be grayed out now.
