Hello, I've been experimenting with Character Animator and creating puppets and backgrounds for my animation shorts. I'm proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator, and I'm getting better and better with CA.

The majority of the tutorials I see use CA as a base for creating/recording animations/puppets, and After Effects as the finishing app. I don't have any experience with AE, and I'd like to know where should I look for tutorials to help me learn some if the basics. I find lots of tutorials for the many abilities of AE, but I'm speciafically interested in something to help with creating animations, incorparating backgrounds, etc.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

I'd like to do more AE tutorials in the future, yeah - thanks for the reminder.

This is a little outdated now in terms of import - we've got dynamic link now - but this runs through adding a foreground, background, color overlay, and a few other things in After Effects with a CH puppet. See these two sections:

Thank you very much! And yes, I think many Character Animator users would love some simple tutorials to learn how to incorporate their puppets/animations into AE. Looking forward to it! In the meantime I'll check out the sources you sent me, and once again thank you.
