Accessing CF Administrator

Explorer ,
Aug 09, 2008 Aug 09, 2008
Hi--

I have installed CF 8 Developer Edition on a Mac (Leopard). I have used the defaults, including the included webserver and DerbyDB so that I can get acquainted with ColdFusion.
My problem is that somehow the login PW to the CF Administrator did not work, and I'm unable to log in. Went to the KnowledgeBase and found an article which said that I should change my security settings from "true" to "false" in the neo-security.xml file which stores basic settings for CF Admin. Tried it, still doesn't work.
What else can I do to get into CF Admin?
To recap, I have no trouble getting to the right URI which is http://127.0.0.1:8500/CFIDE/administrator/enter.cfm in the Safari browser, but I can't login, and would like to be able to change my settings and get in.
How to do?
Thank you.

Did you restart the "ColdFusion MX Application Server" Service?
