Can verity search pick up static and dynamic content?

I am going to have a site which contains both database-driven content AND static, HTML pages. I haven't had much experience with using the verity search feature and was wondering what method would work the best with the mix of static and dynamic content? Will verity search pick up database-driven content as well as static content from a site? Maybe there is another option that would work better? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Adam, this wouldn't be an option for a host using CF 7, right? This only works with CF 8?

Is there anything I can do with CF 7 that will pick up both dynamic and static content in a site-wide search?

Did you do *any* of your own investigation into this at all, like:
a) checking to see if it works on CFMX7;
b) asking your hosting provider if it's a service they offer?
