CF8, Ubuntu 7.10

After installing Coldfusion 8 on Ubuntu 7.10 and testing it for about 3 weeks, I was satisfied with performance such that I purchased a license. However, when I went to system information and applied the serial number, it dropped the server from "Enterprise(Trial)" mode to "Developer" mode, thus restricting server access to just a couple of IP addresses.

Adobe Support recommended attempting a reinstall and applying the serial number during the installation process. However, when using that method, it says my serial number is invalid. For what it's worth, Adobe has verified that the number IS valid. And while I can successfully install CF8 on Ubuntu, CentOS, or Fedora, I'm met with the same result each time -- I cannot successfully apply the serial number and get a full production server going.

I am desperate for a solution, so if someone is running a PRODUCTION CF8 server on Ubuntu, please tell us how you were able to successfully apply the serial number. I realize Adobe supports only Redhat OS's in the UNIX world, but surely this is just some strange anomoly?

Many thanks!

Hi
Can you tell what kind of license it is? You can mail me offline to kvinu@adobe.com and I can help you get it resolved.

Thanks
