When we use CFZIP to compress directories, we cannot use the standard MAC tool to open them on Apple computers.  Works fine on PC and works with some of the third party MAC tools.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dave

I haven't used CFZIP in any professional capacity, and I've barely played with it just to get a feel for it.

I checked the documentation, and the only thing that I can think of is compression algorithm.  I think you can specify which compression algorithm is used.  So if the native MAC decompressor is using a different algorithm, maybe changing the algorithm for zipping files to something MAC can use might fix it.

Just a thot..

Have you managed to resolve this issue?

I am facing the same problem on MACs, however I am compressing only PDF files, without directories. Some PDFs, when added to ZIP, cause this issue and ZIP cannot be open on MAC.

For us the issue started with upgrade from CF8 to CF2016 (running on Windows).

Thanks,

Marek
