Changing localhost port after CF9 install

Guest

Hi, I've been running CF8 for awhile now and have just downloaded and installed CF9. I would have hoped I could just upgrade my developer edition to CF9, but I guess not. Anyway, when I installed CF9, it set my default port too 8501. I would ideally like to just keep it at 8500, since all my sites are set up with that port. I went through the CF Admin page and couldn't see where to change that. If I uninstall CF8 would CF9 then default back to 8500? Or at least where can I go set that port number? Thanks for any help in advance.

The port number can be changed by modifying jrun.xml. These instructions are for CF8. But I doubt it has changed.

ahhh ok...maybe one file I hadn't checked yet..lol Thanks! One more thing. If I uninstall CF8, I would assume I still need to change the port number for CF9. But either way, it shouldn't affect my current sites as long as localhost is using 8500 correct?

I am pretty sure you will still need to modify the port number manually.  Usually that and updating any virtual paths/mappings does the trick.
