I want to confirm that this is accurate.
The FAQ for both Standard and Enterprise editions both say this:
How do I license ColdFusion on containerized deployments?
Every containerized deployment needs to be licensed as per the ColdFusion End User Licensing Agreement (EULA). For instance, if ColdFusion is being deployed on two containers on a single VM instance, then both containers running ColdFusion will have to be licensed separately as per the ColdFusion EULA based on that VM instance being used.
My initial reaction is to assume that they copied and pasted the FAQs and that at least the Enterprise edition isn't so limited. It would seem the height of folly to do all this great work on the 2018 release only to stifle the ability to use

Tyler, that wording must indeed have changed (since you wrote this in Sep 2018), as there are differences between Standard and Enterprise. I highlight them (and offer a link to the FAQ he mentions) in this post from March 2019:
