ColdFusion 9 and Windows 2000 server Install

New Here ,
Dec 28, 2009 Dec 28, 2009

Errors when installing CF9 on Win 2000 server.

"prompt informing me that the server did not appear to have Microsoft's VC++ 2008 Runtime installed"

I have installed it.

I hit the X and got past it, then...

I can not select the IIS web server, only allows use of CF9 internal webserver.

After install can not change to IIS via .bat file or web server config tool, gets this error... "Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\lib\wsconfig\jrunwin32.dll: The specified procedure could not be found"

The DLL is there.

I have searched everywhere, only found something like it here, http://blog.pelcosolutions.com/2009/10/coldfusion-9-initial-reactions-installer-woes.html but still no resolution.

Apparently install on Win 2003 is not much better, http://blog.pelcosolutions.com/2009/10/coldfusion-9-installer-woes-part-two.html

Anybody else run into this or have a solution for an install to Win 2000 server using IIS or is it just not possible?

Thank you.

Apparently Coldfusion 9 doesn't support the Windows 2000 Operating System. It is missing from the Coldfusion 9 System Requirements.

Yes, I ran into this too and published a solution here:  How to Install ColdFusion 9 on Windows 2000 / IIS 5.

I hope this is helpful.
