Anyone want to weigh in on some of the recommended CF shopping cart solutions there are currently on the market? We are looking at buying a CF shopping cart solution.
We need one that can be easily customized to our needs so the source has to be open.
Please make a recommendation with a quick few lines as to why.
Thanks so much,
Darren

Check CFWebstore out. I am impressed by CFWebstore's list of features.
Just as important, Mary Jo Sminkey is one of us. She is a veteran of these forums.

Since I can't download the cart system until we buy it can you give me a preview of how it's built? For exmaple, is it mostly CFC driven? Does it play well with existing systems?
Thank you for the feedback.

I believe we've already touched base over email before I dropped by here, but it would depend on what systems you want to work with....certainly I've had people integrate it with any number of things from POS systems to payment gateways to shipping systems. It's been used with Mura and any number of other applications (I use it along with BlogCFC on my own site) so all depends on what exactly you want to do how complicated or simple that might be. While certainly a great deal of the more complex logic is in CFCs, I have tried to keep the code relatively simple for the non-programmer types that use it, so it's not as highly CFC-driven or OO-based as some CF applications these days are. Each version does tend to naturally move in that direction, but keeping it easy to work with for newcomers will always be a goal.
