Connecting to an online mysql database

New Here ,
May 06, 2007 May 06, 2007
Good morning,

I've been developing a website using Dreamweaver, Coldfusion, and MySQL on my local computer. On the localhost the website works well. Now I'm ready to upload my pages and need to update the data source so my pages can access the MySQL databases hosted by GoDaddy.com. I've had no luck talking with their customer service about which driver / which port I should use to make the connection. I understand that Remote Development Services (RDS) is disabled on their server. Am I missing any steps? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tony
