Hi All,

I am trying to remove the toolbar from Eclipse on the top which all the icons for coldfusion .
I tried the folloiwng :"
Right click on a toolbar and then click "Customize Perspective...". Then click on the Commands tab. This tab contains all of the toolbars that showup in your current perspective (i.e., CFEclipse), and you can check/uncheck to your hearts content. However, you may be tempted to remove the Search toolbar, but don't do it. If you do some of the search functions are disabled"
t

BUT DIDN'T HELP.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANY ONE HAS ANY IDEA AS WHY THIS IS HAPPENING.

If you're using Eclipse Europa (v3.3) and CFEclipse 1.3.1.5 (the most recent), you can right-click on the toolbar and select "Hide Toolbar". This will get rid of the toolbar altogether. With it removed, you can select Window->Show Toolbar to get it back.

I don't think you can alter the CFEclipse toolbars themselves.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for ansering my question.
I did the following .I am sure by now you must have the idea that I am new to Eclipse.
Please guide me.

===================================================================================================
Step One: Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6:
http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Step Two: Install Eclipse 3.2.2:
http://europa-mirror1.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.2.2-200702121330/index.php
(use the eclipse.org mirror site, if possible)

Step Three: Manually install CFEclipse 1.3

jjoney:

Happy to help! It took me a bit to get into the Eclipse/CFEclipse mindset, that's for sure.

Here's what I did:
1. JRE already installed on my system
2. Install Eclipse 3.3:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ (I chose Eclipse Classic installer)
3. Install CFEclipse via the Eclipse (not manual install). It's the instructional text on this page:
http://www.cfeclipse.org/index.cfm?event=page&page=download

Additionally, I would recommend installing Aptana. It's an Eclipse plug-in for web development, specifically, Ajax work. It has very good HTML, CSS, JS, and XML editors (also has PHP for when you might need it).

Instructions to install Aptana via the Eclipse software update system:
http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Plugging_Aptana_into_an_existing_Eclipse_configuration

Try that and let me know how it goes. Also, what OS are you running? RAM?

Cheers,
Craig
