Executing external application

It's been YEARS since I did this last ... and now my brain cells ... well ...

How do I execute an external application from within CF?

Simple scope ... load a page and do something that *might* look like this

<cf_run_program program="c:\xxxx\hyperterminal.exe /script=this"> or whatever their syntax is ...

you CAN call an external app., right?
