Faulting application swstrtr.exe on 32-bit coldfusion 8

I am getting the following message: Faulting application swstrtr.exe, version 2.9.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000. The reposnses I see relate to running on a 64-bit architechure. I am running CF8 on an intel 32-bit architechure on XP SP3. ANy idea why I am getting this error?

Is this on a new install, or did it just start happening on an existing install?

If it's a new install, did you just try de-/re-installing?

I installed CF8 close to a year ago. I am using the enterprise version.

So just to be clear... it's only just started happening recently?

Do you have a precise timestamp when it started going wrong?  Did any Windows updates happen around then, or anything odd in the logs?

Can you get a known-good version of that file and do a compare?

On my CF8 Enterprise the file properties differ to Standard mention previously

-location JRun4\servers\cfusion\cfusion-ear\cfusion-war\WEB-INF\cfusion\db\slserver54\bin

-size 112 KB (114,688 bytes)

-File version says 2.55.0.0

Properties on my CF8  says:

-swstrtr.exe

-DataDirect SequeLink Service Starter

-size 116 KB (118,853 bytes)

-size on disk 120 KB (122,880 bytes)
