General Forms Question - no coding

Hello

I really like all the features built into CF to create great forms. Having said that, it does take a lot of time to create a great form. My questions is, I have to build a series of forms that are simple in nature, but require a great deal of form data. The forms are used to record data from lab test results. Some results yeild form values that can exceed 35 form feilds per report, with about 8 different reports.

Experience says I would create a table for each type of report (as they are all very different) with all the form feild types and save the form data as a single record.

Please, I don't want to sound lazy, I'm just wondering, is there a 'simplier' way to create these forms (and/or database tables) so the data can be saved and retrieved? I'm just wondering, can I do this with a PDF or report builder... perhap[s some sort of wizzard or tool that can be used to help in the process? Thanks for any ideas or thoughts.

JK

Have you looked at using FarCry (http://www.farcrycore.org/index.cfm?objectid=B25184EE-9E16-B966-FBD0A2EFB7F3D92D) or Mura (http://www.getmura.com/index.cfm/features/list-of-all-features/) or something?

Hello Adam

Thanks for the reply. I have Mura running one of sites now. Perhaps I could use Mura to create the forms & db tables and export it to my other app. Since this lab app is not in a cms, this might be a quick and dirtly way to get it done. Thanks for the idea.

Joseph Krogman.
