Generating LEGAL size Word doc

New Here ,
Nov 22, 2008 Nov 22, 2008
I'm stuck with generating a Word document for a client.

Basically, it needs to output legal size and haven't been able to figure that out. The generated Word doc must always be manually resized from letter to legal and the margins pulled up.

Is it not possible to specify the size of the generated word doc?

...a Word document for a client
Open the document in MS Word. In the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Paper tab. Change the Paper Size to Legal.

In the File menu, click on Save As. Choose to save the page as a Webpage. Call the new document, theDoc.htm.

Open theDoc.htm in your favorite editor. It contains the settings, length, width, margins, etc., that you can use as the basis for other pages in Legal format.

Be aware that, if you use settings from Word 2007, a client on Word 2000 might not display the page correctly. So, if you have a choice, get the settings from an older Word version.
