IIS and cf instllation problem

New Here ,

Hi

I have a problem when installing cf 8 developer edition, as shown by installation log:

quote:

ANT Script Error:
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - wsconfig-installer.xmlError adding connector to webserver: Internet Information Server (IIS)
CommandLine:
ErrorString: Unable to delete C:\ColdFusion8\ConnectorInstall0.bat

ANT Script Error:
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - wsconfig-installer.xmlError adding connector to webserver: Internet Information Server (IIS)
CommandLine:
ErrorString: Unable to delete C:\ColdFusion8\ConnectorInstall1.bat

So I can't see the cf administrator page; the cf server is shown as started in Services, and I can see default.asp on localhost so IIS is running too.

Any advice please?

Many thanks

Dave

Is this the first installation of CF8? There probably were remnants from a previous installation. My advice is to remove Coldfusion 8 and delete the entire Coldfusion8 directory. (You might need to restart Windows to enable you to do so).

After deleting CF8, restart Windows. Then reinstall CF8.

Be sure also about the rights on the CF installation directory. If you are using Win Servers in "paranoid" mode, that would be a case. 🙂

Hi

thanks very much for your advice - it was combination of relics of a previous installation and a firewall - all working nicely now!

Best wishes
