Inserting Leads into a Text File?

Hello there, I am wondering if there is a way to insert leads into a .txt file once a form is submitted?

If so how would this be achieved. I know you can do this with PHP as I have done it before.

There are plenty of file tags and functions available. But what do you mean by "leads"?
