install files for Cold Fusion 6.1.0.0

New Here ,

We need to migrate an application to a new server, but do not want to upgrade the application to a newer version of Coldfusion at this time.  What is the process to get a set of disks or download files to install ColdFusion 6.1.0.0.  I have the product key from the server.

I doubt you'll get a response on this from Adobe, as ColdFusion 6.1 has not been supported for quite some time.  You might also try posting to the CF-Talk mailing list (http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/) and someone might have a copy of the media/installers that they can pass along.

Also, if your new server is running a fairly current operating system, you may not be able to get it to install.  ColdFusion 6.1 will install with a very old version of Java (one that likely has numerous security flaws) and will likely not be compatible with any of the current Java versions.  I'd strongly suggest reconsidering the decision not to upgrade to the latest version of ColdFusion for those reasons.

HTH,

Carl V.

That's a great suggestion Carl has mentioned

You can also Drop an e-mail to ColdFusion team for download and install issues at cf.install@adobe.com

The same is mentioned here

Thanks
