Listening for COM event

I have a COM API that i need to interface with. I can call methods but i need to listen for events and store the output in a database when ever the DLL kicks off a event.

Is this possible with using event gateways?

I am not a MS kind of guy but I would suggest to check opportunities with the new .Net integration. I know there are already some tools in .Net world which you may consider to integrate with CF.

This is just an idea.
