Logging File Settings Don't Work

Guest

Well, the Topic Summary above seems to explain the problem. We are trying to limit the size of the log files to 1000 KB (1 MB). We also want to keep 10 archived copies. Here are the settings that are being used:

Maximum File Size (kb) 1000
Maximum Number of Archives: 10

For some reason the cfserver log file does not stop at 1 MB has reached over 6 MB.
Any ideas? And as always, Thanks in Advance!!

PS: And yes we are saving the settings before closing the Administrator.

Have you tried restarting the ColdFusion services after making your change?

Thanks Grizz,
And yes, the server is restarted every day.

Thanks again for the quick response,

Strange - I'm not sure what the problem would be than. Perhaps it's a bug of some sort. Have you updated ColdFusion to the latest patch level (8.0.1)?

Thanks Grizz, but we are running 6.1 with all of the latest updates and Hot Fixes. I work for a state orgainization for their unemployment web site, and they upgrade not when a new release is issued, but when they can financially justify the expense.
