MX7 and IIS 7.0

New Here ,

We just got a new web server I'm trying to migrate our helpdesk to. It was formerly on a windows 2000 box, now it's going to a windows 2008 box, the problem with that is IIS 7.

The two do not want to co-exist at all like the former IIS versions did. IIS will not start the website as long as coldfusion services are on, you can stop them and turn the website on and turn them back on and the IIS website will stay started, but it won't show any of the pages anyways. Plus that doesn't seem like a very good workaround anyways. I keep looking back at the older server for options, but they've changed so much between the two versions it's not of much use.

Without IIS started I can get to the page via http://ipaddress/helpdesk and the page comes up fine, but any attempt to make it show up with just typing in the IP address only ends in frustration.

Does anyone have any experience getting this combination to work? I've been trying to get it going for two days now and can't seem to find anything useful on Google.

Any help is appreciated.

Is your Windows 2008 64 bit?

CF MX 7 is not supported on 64 bit Windows.

I managed to get them to work together finally, but the problem seems to have compounded itself now.

When I try to use the webserver configuration tool it tells me that IIS 7 is not supported, so I figured there might be updates out for MX7 that might fix this problem. I looked and I was right, there were two updates, 7.01 and 7.02. I tried to install the 7.1 upgrade and it said to please wait this may take a few moments. That was yesterday about noon, when I came in at 7 this morning it was still sitting in the same spot so I'm pretty sure something isn't quite right with it.

I tried to go find a place to download it with 7.02 installed from the beginning, but as far as I can tell it won't let you download anything but CF8 now.
