Null Value Error in CF 8 Enterprise

I have upgraded my webapp from CF 7 to CF 8 Enterprise. It seems like the report builder on CF 8 Enterprise is set up to handle null values in a much different way than CF 7. Our web app works just fine in version 7 but in 8 Enterprise the null values are giving it fits.

Question 1: Has the report builder changed from version 7 to version 8?

Question 2: How can I change my CF Reportbuilder 8 to act like version 7?

Please help our web app is in production.

I'm having the same problem since I upgrade my server to CF8 When the report encounters a NULL in a database query, the page returns the following error:

Error: query.csng_diameter is not a valid ColdFusion expression.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using CF 8.01 standard edition.
