ODBC Error Code = 40001 (Serialization failure)

When we looked into the application log. We are getting this problem. Looked into the code we have <cftransaction> and the query doesn't take much time.

"Error","TID=1028","02/27/07","14:28:28","ODBC Error Code = 40001 (Serialization failure)<P> [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
Driver][SQL Server]Transaction (Process ID 80) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

Can anyone help me out.
