Portlets supported in CF10 Standard?

Jun 05, 2012 Jun 05, 2012

Hi there CF people!

Are portlets supported in CF 10 standard? We are putting a server together to handle portlet versions of our apps, and wondered if CF 10 standard has remote portlet support?

Thanks!

Dave Kraft

Hi Dave,  According to Adobe's buying guide it lists WSRP as available on both Enterprise and Standard: http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion-enterprise/buying-guide.html

I sure appreciate the answer Pete!

BTW I was reading your posts and presentations last week on portlets using previous CF versions. I'm wondering how popular the mix of CFand portlet servers is.

On the subject of CF10 standard, I read this morning that HTML5 charts were crippled in CF10 standard, forcing users to buy the Enterprise version if they want that feature. Have you heard that too?

Hi Dave,   Portlets are not a hugely popular feature in CF, but there certainly are some people using it.  As for the HMTL5 charts, they are not supported in CF10 standard, which is unfortunate (that link I provided also shows that they are "Not available").   -pete

Thanks again Pete. I will call Adobe sales and probe further. I appreciate your help.
