problem in Coldfusion Report Builder with Arabic Text format (flashpaper and pdf output)

anyone can help me about my problem in coldfusion report builder 8.0 im using oracle 10g database... here's some info.

its a simple webform with a select query... i want to print the  webform using the coldfusion report builder 8.0.. im using oracle 10g  database...

if i choose the cfr output into excel, html  and doc the arabic text and arabic query output is correct and  appearing... but once i choose pdf or flashpaper the arabic text is not  working...

in flashpaper the arabic text is reversed and in pdf the arabic text is in "?"


i want to have the output in pdf or flashpaper... any got idea?

I don't think Flashpaper supports RTL languages. Flash Player itself didn't support them until FP 10, which is well after the release of Flashpaper.

so wats the best solution for this? if the flashpaper didn't support the RTL language...how bout the pdf in cfr?

Well, I suspect you're kind of screwed either way. PDFs can support RTL languages, I think, but I doubt that Report Builder handles the character set correctly:

no PDF works fine with RTL:

it also seems to handle the yen symbol plenty fine.

trying help this same guy in another thread but my ESP helmet seems to be on the

fritz. not making any headway.

you're 100% right about flashpaper & RTL (i'd actually forgotten, hardly ever

use flashpaper w/cf). wonder if the "new" flexpaper handles RTL?
