READONLY issue with CFDIRECTORY create

Can CFDIRECTORY action="create" be done in such a way as to force the created directory to NOT be readonly? Every directory I create using CFDIRECTORY is readonly; it allows files to populate the directory, but nothing can be deleted without logging directly on to the server and manually removing the files.

Thanks,

^_^

Which OS?

My exposure is *mostly* Windows (2k, XP, 2k3), but I have a bit of Linux
and Solaris exposure too, and I've not known dirs to be created as
read-only, in and of themselves.

Is it a read-only (attribute) issue, or a cannot-write (permissions) issue?

Oh, and which a/c are you getting CF to login as? What sort of file system
permissions does it have? It would, granted, be odd for it to have create
but not delete permissions, but it could be possible.
