Server Question

New Here ,
Sep 30, 2009 Sep 30, 2009

Greetings,

I host web sites on linux (Red Hat) using Plesk 8.3.

I have someone who wants to move their site to my server for hosting and their site is in cold fusion.

I notice in plesk there is a "cold fusion support"  feature that I can install.

My quesiton is: Do I need any Adobe software to host this site in addition to the above plesk provided "cold fusion support" ?

We use the Web Premium CS4 here but not cold fusion.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

I presume you're meaning this: http://www.flexservers.com/plesk/addons.php#coldfusion ?

That just adds some sort of UI on top of CF's own admin UI, as far as I can tell.  For it to work, you actually need to buy (and install) ColdFusion.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the reply. Your answer is consistant with what I have been reading. Seems a shame to have to purchase programing simply to host other people's work. Much easier and cheaper to rebuild it in drupal.

Thanks again,

Bob
