Sessions on multiple servers.

I was running CF 6.1 on two servers behind a load balancer. They both use a common database for the client variables. I have been getting a lot of error that appear to be lost sessions. As a test I took down one of the servers and almost all the errors have gone away. I though the use of a common database would allow multiple servers. Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

PS. I didn't write the software and we can not upgrate CF.

Something probably went wrong with session replication. MX6.1 may be dated, but there is some useful information out there on session replication with MX6.1.
