Updating CF8 to CF8.0.1

I'm trying to update CF8 to CF8.0.1 on CentOS 5.2. This update comes with
coldfusion-801-lin_updater.zip

Note that it's a zip file. The "ColdFusion 8.0.1 release notes part 2" at
http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/801/cf801install.pdf

gives me instructions for Windows and Unix. The Unix instructions assume that you have been given a *.bin file, not a *.zip file.

Are there any instructions on how to implement an update using a *.zip file?

I've got the same problem but under SUSE Linux. There are no instructions?! In years past, we had .bin files for the Linux updaters. Now I've got a zip file with a pretty strange directory structure and no clue how to apply it. Looks like I am going to have to call. 😞

Sorry about that. The installer was accidentally renamed and should be a bin file. We will update the site asap. Just rename the file as *.bin and make executable.
