The only people I know who do not like it are the very same
people who do not know it, or attempt to use it for projects it is
not well suited for. There is a time and a place for CF. If you are
naive enough to attempt to use it outside of its designed areas you
are bound to experience frustration.
Once you weed though the posturing, it usually comes down to
the fact that very few programmers want a language that they do NOT
know to become popular. Obviously, this stems from insecurity, or
the fact that many programmers feel compelled to learn the hottest
language. If someone already thinks they know the current hot
language, they are loathe to see another lanugage attempt to take
that spot, however inevitable it may be.
