Win2k CF Server dead after 10/14/2009 Massive Security Patch

Came in this morning to find that our win2k box with CF8 installed was down.  Checked the logs and found out that massive MS security patch was done just before we went down.

Now webpages will not work at all - except for a couple of occaisions when the login page finally partially loaded after about 10 minutes.

Anything that calls a .hta page, like 'add/remove programs' also fails.

Not sure what to do now?  Anyone else run into this?

Just in case anyone else having the problem - for me it required a complete CF8 reinstall.

It may be a good idea to turn off auto update download/install on your production server (if you are on a production server that is). Have it as auto update/download on a dev box but wait until you're ready to install them manually.
