CF10 license install: "The serial number you have applied is invalid".

I have installed installed CF10 on Windows2012R2 under a trial license and now wish to apply the license code I have been supplied with. When applied it errors with "the serial number you have applied is invalid". The text with the license says this applies to CF11 but I was told that this will still work for CF10. What is the workaround for this?

Can you PM your serial number. I can check it and revert to you.

Hi Ewan,

The license key you shared, is for CF11 Enterprise. This will not work with CF10.

Thanks. I'll pass this back to the supplier.

Can you also tell me how a development server associated with this live system should be licensed - does it take the same license as the live server, have it's own license number or is it run from a developer install?

Regards

Ewan

You can run the "developer" version, on your development server.

We need to be able to run the test/dev box against multiple clients and not be limited to 2 IP addresses (a restriction with the developer license). Once we get the correct CF10 Enterprise license are we able to run this on the 2 boxes?
