CF2016 stability issues

We've recently upgraded CF11 to CF2016 in our dev and stage environments a few weeks ago.  After weeks of testing, we decided to push to production with:

Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

CF2016, Update 6

Java "1.8.0_171"

Apache 2.4.18

Redis 2.6.13 for session management

Everything worked well for a day or so, then we started to see high CPU utilization on java leading to 504 gateway timeouts.

I've tried changing AcceptFilter http and AcceptFilter https to none.

I've tried uninstalling FusionReactor 7.2.4

I've noticed here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/coldfusion2016-support-matrix.pdf

that Ubuntu 16.04.1 isn't listed as supported, but the AWS Marketplace CF2016 image is bundled with it.

Anyone have any experience with a similar stack?

Rather than debate/question the stack, had you tried to use fr to find/resolve the problem  We're you running the trial? Or if paid  was it Ultimate? Both would help explain high cpu, whether in a cfml request (using the profiler) or some other thread which may surprise you (using the cpu sampler).

I help people solve such things weekly. The answer is there. You need not resort to guessing.
