ColdFusion 11 Installation issues on OSX 10.9

Hi,

I'm facing ColdFusion 11 installation issue on MAC OS X 10.9. Once the installation done with first step it asks to run the ColdFusion service manually as it is not automatically get started, once the service gets started asked to navigate to http://127.0.0.1:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm to configure the ColdFusion Administrator and server it throws error HTTP status 500 - java.lang.NullPointerException.


Can anybody please help me out from here?

I have the same problem. The install of CF11 has also broken my ColdFusion 10 setup.

Can you add the entry in your host file

127.0.0.1     localhost

10.42.215.25     machine_name

where 10.42.215.25 is the ip of the MAC.

To find the hosts file, open Finder and select Go > Go to Folder. In the box, type the following location and press Return.

Restart ColdFusion 11 Application service if needed.
