Hello community members!
I have recently installed Coldfusion 11 standard onto a windows 2012 dedicated server with a hosting provider. During installation, I chose the production profile.
I have 2 main questions that I can seem to find the answers too.
1. How can I connect to the Cold Fusion administrator page via a web browser on my computer without using remote desktop to connect to the dedicated server and running the web browser there.
2. How can I get Dreamweaver and Coldfusion Building to connect to the server using RDS? The furthest I have gotten on getting this setup, is that I am able to connect to the server, it shows the directory I told settings to connect to, but does not show any of the files or folders. If I try to create a file or folder, it says I do not have permission.
3. Any web sites I setup in IIS, i have to use the coldfusion configurator in order for it to process coldfusion pages.
I am moving the sites from an older hosted server onto this newer one. The older server was running Windows 2003 and Coldfusion 9. It looks like the window securities and such for the files and directory are the same on both server, but I seem to be just banging my head against a wall.
Thank you all in advance for any suggestions, hints, and answers.
Charles
